When Should You Check For System Updates
Sometimes when first purchasing the Fire TV Device the installed software can vary. Although it may already have the newest software installed but it’s always worth checking. So we’d recommend you check monthly at least to make sure you have the latest software installed.
How To Update Firestick/Fire TV
1.On the Home Screen scroll right and hover over Settings. Now scroll across and click on My Fire TV.
3.Scroll to the bottom and click Install System Update (if it says “Check For System Update” then it’s more than likely updated already).
4.It will start installing the Update. Simply wait for the Update to finish.
Once the update has finished your device will restart with the new software installed.
If you find the Firestic/Fire TV will not restart, don’t worry. You can restart the device by clicking the Select Button and the Play Pause Button simultaneously for 5 seconds.
