- Go into the Settings area from your Firestick home screen.
- Head to the right and click on the System section.
- Scroll down then click Reset to Factory Defaults.
- You will be warned You are about to reset your Fire TV to its original factory settings. Your sign-in information and personal preferences will be lost. Go ahead and click the Reset button.
This Firestick restore process usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes or so. After that time, your Amazon Fire TV will be reset to factory settings and ready for setup.

When an app is installed make sure you delete the installation file, this file is only needed to install the app. Such as in Downloader, make sure to delete the download. Next is to delete any apps you don’t need/use anymore. Also your apps collect data and cache, both taking up memory. You can clear Cache at any time this won’t affect the app. Clearing the data will reset the app to new, losing any saved settings or favourites.
